Recently, the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Wires and Cables issued a notice stating that GB/T 47322‑2026, “Test Method for Fire‑Resistance Performance of Cables under Building Fire‑Heating Conditions,” will come into formal effect on October 1, 2026. This standard will overhaul the entire regulatory framework governing the production, testing, and project acceptance of fire‑resistant and flame‑retardant cables in China, further raising the industry’s entry barriers.
