Quality Control System
Rated‑voltage 1 kV overhead insulated cables are suitable for overhead power lines at 1 kV and below, and may be used for fixed installations or service drops. Flexible‑conductor copper‑core cables may also be employed as transformer down conductors.
As urban buildings and population density continue to grow, the use of bare conductors for medium- and low-voltage power distribution in cities has revealed numerous issues, primarily including: 1) insufficient safety clearance between buildings and overhead lines; 2) frequent problems with overhead bare conductors in tree‑dense streets or landscaped areas; 3) a high incidence of short circuits and electrocution incidents during thunderstorms and typhoon seasons; and 4) in areas where low-, medium-, and high-voltage overhead transmission lines intersect or converge, it is necessary to increase pole heights and widen spacing, thereby driving up installation costs.
Using insulated overhead cables offers distinct advantages for power supply systems: 1) The span between poles can be shortened, and the spacing between conductors can be reduced, resulting in lower inductance compared to conventional overhead lines and thus a smaller voltage drop per unit length; 2) Multiple types of electrical or telecommunication lines can be installed on the same pole, eliminating the need to prune large numbers of trees and reducing the risk of short circuits and electric shocks caused by typhoons, heavy rains, or fallen trees, while also lowering repair and maintenance costs; 3) These cables are highly flexible and can be dismantled for reuse, with lower installation costs than underground cabling.
